ian's "surprise" birthday party was on 26th jan at bryan's place. it was ok but not exactly what i wanted. out of all his friends, i think cephas is the most decent. the rest didn't bother to introduce themselves or say anything to the people they didn't know like sara, michelle, nicolaus and me. cephas spoke to everyone regardless of whether he knew them or not. also, i think any literate person is capable of writing a message so why is it so hard for barker boys to do so??? they just love making things difficult for me!!! well thank you cephas and zhen yang for actually co-operating and making my life slightly easier. another thing that bugs me, i don't think it's very appropriate to shout "go f*** your girlfriend" when the girlfriend is standing less than 2 metres away. boys should learn their manners! the party was basically a group of barker boys talking, sara freezing in the pool and michelle, nic, ian and myself talking at the other end of the pool. definitely not what i expected...i'm soo sorry! it wasn't a surprise, i didn't get to sing TIPY, you got punched (i think that is soo childish! and it's not a guy thing cos independant boys don't do that) and people were so unfriendly!

ian's birthday dinner was on 27th jan at garibaldi. that was way more successful! i think i spent a couple of hours getting ready...i had to do my nails, put on a facial mask, shower, do my hair and change. i wore the purple french connection spag, jeans, pretty purple heels and a black shawl plus i carried my mum's ferragamo evening bag.
my conversation with my mum:
i am playing with my earrings
mum-nice earrings, are they the ones ian bought for you?
me-uh huh
mum-how much did he spend?!
me-dunno
mum-where are you going?
me-garibaldi
mum-is ian going?
me-it's his birthday dinner!
mum-oh no! i better give him a red packet
me-er...ok
mum-he's a nice boy but just be friends ok?
i looked away
mum-you should have many boyfriends, at one point of time i had about ten.
my mother is the only mother who encourages her daughter to cheat :s but rest assured, i will NOT cheat. it's against my morals.

met xingting at kap and her parents sent us there. the jam was soooo bad! when we arrived joshua, zhen yang, cephas and ian were there so we still had to wait for sara and nicolaus. i had risotto with scallops and fois gras :) yum!! for dessert i had panna cotta but i think the best dessert there is the chocolate lava cake...its heavenly!! it was kinda quiet at the start of the dinner but towards the end it got so noisy i think everyone in the restaurant was annoyed. they went to play pool afterwards so joshua and cephas tried to teach me how to play bridge but i don't think i got it. we played 4 games of tai tee and i won all 4 games...just admit it, i'm good ;) joshua was soo mean! he didn't let me take a picture of his mickey mouse pants! we booked 2 cabs after walking around aimlessly. i sent ian home and joshua became miss ong!
